B.Ed. Eligibility

The basic eligibility criteria for the B.Ed. is Graduation, however, different institutions of the country have different sets of requirements or eligibility criteria in order to apply for a bachelor’s program in education. The detailed eligibility criteria for the B.Ed. program is written below:   

  • To apply for the B.Ed program, a candidate must hold a graduation degree and he/she should secure more than 50% marks in the final exam of graduation.  
  • A 5% relaxation in the minimum eligibility score is provided to the candidates who belong to reserved categories such as SC/ST/OBC/PWD, however, it is depended on the state in which they are applying for.
  • Some of the colleges have a minimum age limit of 19 years for admission to the Bachelor of Education program.  

B.Ed. Admission 2023

To get admission to the Bachelor of Education, candidates are needed to qualify for the B.Ed. Entrance Exam. Admissions to this course are purely based on obtained scores of the candidates in the B.Ed. Entrance Exams like DU BEd, MP PRE BEd, UP BEd JEE, and IGNOU B.Ed. The entrance exams for the B.Ed Program are mainly organized by the government or various universities like DU.

DU B.Ed.

DU B.Ed. or Delhi University Bachelor of Education Entrance Exam is conducted by the DU or Any other Entrance Exam Conducting Agency. The exam is mainly conducted in online mode only.

The exam is a national-level exam conducted to offer eligible candidates for the B.Ed. Program.

 The duration for DU B.Ed is 2 hours and is consisted of 100 MCQs on the subjects like Reasoning Ability, General Awareness, Language Proficiency, Teaching Aptitude etc.

The application fee to appear for DU BED is INR 500 for General/OBC Candidates and for SC/St candidates it is INR 250.

CUET

CUET is a national-Level entrance exam that is conducted to offer admission to various UG, Diploma, Certificate and Postgraduate Programs such as BBA, BCA, B.Ed. B.com, B.Voc., Diploma in Pharmacy, B.Pharma and many more.

The exam is conducted by NTA- National Testing Agency to offer admission to various courses.  Various colleges in India accept CUET scores to offer admission to the Bachelor of Education Program. The exam is conducted in different a shift as per the courses to which you apply.

UP B.Ed

UP B.Ed or UP B.ED. JEE is a state-level exam conducted under the observation of the UP government by Lucknow University. The exam is conducted by Lucknow University to offer admission to B.ed. Program. When we talk about the Teaching course admission exam in India, UP B.Ed. is one of the most popular exams among students.

Every year, the exam is appeared by more than 5Lakh students with the sole reason to be a teacher in life. UP B.ED is conducted once a year in offline mode only and the duration of the exam is 3 hours. The application fee to appear for UP BED is INR 1400 for General/OBC Candidates and for SC/St candidates it is INR 700.

RIE CEE

Regional Institutes of Education Common Entrance Exam is of the popular exams conducted by NCERT (National Council of Educational Research and Training). The exam is conducted every year for offering admission to B.Ed by Regional Institutes of Educations (RIEs) in the city of Bhopal, Mysore, Shillong, Ajmer, and Bhubaneswar.

The duration of RIE CEE is 120 Minutes and the application fee for applying this exam is INR 900 for General and OBC candidates and INR 450 SC/ST Candidates.

Bihar B.Ed. CET

Bihar B.Ed. is one of the popular exams in Bihar state, which is conducted by Lalit Narayan Mithila University. The Bihar B.ED exam is also known as the LNMU B.Ed. across country. The exam is conducted every year for offering admission to the B.Ed program within the state.

The duration of LNMU B.ED or Bihar B.ED CET is 120 Minutes and the application fee for applying this exam is INR 1000 for the General/Unreserved category and INR 750 for women and INR 500 for the reserved categories such as SC/ST.
